THE SOMA BODYWORK SERIES:

The 11 session SOMA Bodywork Series is designed to systematically unwind compensations in the body and then reintegrate to ultimately create organization in the field of gravity.  Each SOMA Bodywork Session takes between 1.5 to 2 hours and is best received with 1 to 2 weeks in between sessions.

Session 2~
Focus: The body's foundation, lower leg and feet.

Result: Feeling of being firmly grounded and in touch with reality.

Session 8, 9 & 10 ~

Focus: integrate the whole body in a new and more efficient manner.

Result: Less stress and more energy as the body's structure is better aligned with gravity.

Session 4, 5 & 6 ~

Focus: Adjusts and lengthens the body's vertical center line, or core.

Result: Better balance and freedom of movement. Walking takes a fraction of the energy typically expended.

Somassage® is a free-standing, full body Soma Bodywork session that addresses specific injuries or imbalances while re-balancing the body in the field of gravity. The intent of Somassage® is different than massage, as massage is focused on the circulatory system while Somassage® was developed from the principles of SOMA Neuromuscular Integration® and therefore works to re-align the body and provide structural support.

Somassage® is an excellent maintenance option for people who have received the series work as well as people who do not want to receive the SOMA series.

Somassage® is not Structural Integration like the SOMA Sessions. The work is not permanent and if desired, needs to be repeated regularly.
